About MUET

This is where I would like to share more things about MUET that you might want to know.

MUET in SMKSA:

  1.  A compulsory subject that must be included in the school timetable.
  2. Taught for 8 periods per week. 40 minutes for each period.
  3. Students have the choice to sit for the exam once or twice a year. However, SMKSA strongly encourages (read: mandatory!) students to sit for the year end exam if they choose to sit for it once.
  4. Exemptions from the year end exam are given to those who land themselves a band 5 or band 6 in MUET mid year.
  5. A textbook, a model test book, a file and a journal will be used all throughout the 3 semesters (one and a half year).
  6. The selection of textbooks and workbooks will vary from one batch of students to another.
  7. Students will sit for a minimum of 3 full-paper examinations; Year End Exam (semester 1), Mid Year Exam (semester 2), Trial Exam (semester 3).
